Lovin the Sun

We are loving this weather!!! We went to the park today with some friends. Hopefully Kristen will put up some of the many pictures she took up. I got my camera out at the end. Hollis could stay outside all day. He crawls all over the playground and loves going down the slide head 1st. We stayed longer than everyone else. Hollis played on the slide with this sweet little girl named Annie for a long time. He gets a gold star today because he did not even try to eat the mulch. Sun in his eyesloves pushin his car around

11 Months

Hollis is 11 months and full of energy. This is his reaction to most things.

At 11 months Hollis....

makes the noise "sssss" at objects

understands some stuff we tell him (like go get your ball)

moves, moves, moves

claps for himself when playing balls

dips his face in the bath water

loves music and head bobbing

is shy to stranger but can warm up

climbs up and down stairs

puts food behind his back when he is done eating

hands me his sippy cup when done, sometimes(instead of hurling it on the floor)

likes to feed us cheerios

Monkey See Monkey Do

Zach had to put some things in the attic last week. I went in Hollis's room and came out to find this and yes he went almost to the very top.

Hollis is starting to copy everything we do. He went to Zach's parent's last weekend (big thanks) and he was copying his mom doing leg lifts in the floor. He copied Rex trying to snap at him.

My Guys

These are my two Valentines.

I love both of my guys very much and could not imagine life without them. Zach always tells me that I am outnumbered. These two may team up against me in a few years...but for now someone is a mama's boy.

We celebrated Valentine's on Friday night at home. We put Hollis to bed at 6:55 bc he was whiney and tired. Zach cooked us a steak and esparagus on the grill. Sat night we went to a friend's wedding. Thanks to mom & dad for keeping him.Feeling lots better

Sick

It's official Hollis is sick. I thought we might make it thru this season but we didn't. It started thurs night he woke up during the night(which is unusual). Saturday morning he would not move. So we headed to the dr to find out we have some h- word virus with blister on his throat that will last 5 days and lots of fever. Well by lunchtime sat. he was already feeling a little better and playing. Sunday night he went down hill again. We went to the dr monday and he had an ear infection too. I will have to say having a sick babies is one of the worst.

We have been doing lots of sitting and watching tv the pass few days. He has been just pitiful. We have learned not to feed him a bottle and his medicine to close together because it all come right back up. I think he is starting to feel a little better. Thank goodness!!

I hope this it is for the year. Where is spring?

10 Months

Wow! We have not posted in forever. We have not even been that busy in Jan. just trying to stay warm. Hollis has been learning lots.

At his 9 month check up he

weighed 24 lb and 8oz (95%)

29 3/4 in (90%)

Now he is 10 months! We had to put some clothes on for this photo shoot.

has 6 teeth now and thinks it is hilarious to bite

can drink out of a straw

is adventuresome and crawls away

gives me kisses when i ask (they are the best even though they are super wet!)
