Bad Habit Broken!

Yes I am in my child's crib. Showing him that his crib is fun and yes he is going to sleep in it. We have all had a cold around our house last week. Hollis would wake up at 4am and we would put him in our bed. Well as the week went on he started waking up earlier and earlier(like 10pm). We could not figure out what was wrong. Our child has always slept in his bed all night. Well he was playing us because as soon as we put him in our bed he would start snoring. Also when we laid him down in his bed he would flip out. So this week we started sleeping boot camp.
The day before his 1st day of school he woke up at 2am and cried til 4am standing in his bed with his blanket. Not just a cry, a top of the lung I am so mad at you scream. Finally he sat down and kept nodding off and went to sleep.

The next night I think he might had cried for 15 mins in the middle of the night. The next he cried 15 mins when we laid him down, and last night 5 mins when we laid him down. Boot Camp worked!!!! It is not easy listening to the screaming but I think it was worth it for all us.

1st Day of Preschool

Here is Hollis before school playing with his lunch box. This is the best picture I could get. I would say Hollis did not have the best 1st day of school. He only cried for a few minutes when I dropped him off. I think it must of gone down hill after that. He cried everytime they switch activities or rooms.(thats like every 20 mins at his age) Yes ate his snack, no did not eat lunch, and slept for 20 minutes. This could be bc he screamed at the top of his lungs from 2am-4am the night before.
His 2nd day was much better. I don't think they are going to kick him out.

So Many Kids

When did we get so many kids?
We made the dads pose with all the children for the picture.
It was a very hot night. We have so much fun hanging out with each other and hopefully our kids do too.

Swimming in the baby pool
Riding the fire truck
Hollis is finally not sick anymore. In the last month he had 2 fever viruses and hand, foot, mouth. Who knew you could be so sick in the summer. Hopefully that is all behind us.
Almost time for school.

Happy 4th & 15 months

Hollis and Daddy

We swam all day long and ate hotdogs & hamburgers. That night we ate mexican, played ping pong and watched fireworks in the car. Hollis kept saying "boom, boom!"
Lilly showing her spirit

At 15 months old Hollis....

has become a picky eater

uses a spoon& fork somewhat

can hold 1 finger up when you ask how old he is

hits balls all over the house with a hammer, bat, or his favorite my strainer w/ a handle

likes playing with the vaccum, brooms, cords, hoses, tools

usually says dada 1st when you ask who someone is

nods yes and no to everything and means it

says bye 30 times after we leave a place or person

starting to really play with toys

can not sit still thru church

knows lots of animal sounds

loves to swim and jump off the board(w/floaties on)

likes to pick on girls(especially his cousins)

The other day my mom was keeping them and the girls were sitting in a chair with their babies and bags. Hollis kept trying to pull them away. The more the girls would scream, the more Hollis kept picking on them. Boys will be boys.

DaDa

Happy late Father 's Day
We are so grateful for all you do for us and how you take care of us.
If you ask Hollis who is in a picture he always says "dada" even if he is not in the picture. Hollis loves his daddy so much. He loves his daddy getting up with him in the morning and watching cartoons and eating cheerios. He gets soooo excited when he comes home. He likes wrestling, playing samarui swords, and being tickled to death by him. The funniest thing is he likes to imitate his daddy laughing at tv shows. When I carry him to bed he always looks back at Zach and grins so big.
This is Hollis at the polo match we went to. He looks like a giant in this picture.
Sweet Liam pulled heavy Hollis almost around in the wagon for almost an hour in the heat. They are one year apart and already the bestest of friends.
