4th and Underpants

Hollis on the 4th
He wet his pants so mom got out the hose to rinse him, well he could not resist from then on getting soaking wet.

This was the 1st week of potty training or wearing big boy underpants. I feel like I have been doing this all summer long but it has only been a couple weeks. We still have lots of work ahead of us. If you ask him if he needs to go he always says no. On the way home from school the other day he was telling the girls he messed his pants up and they all started dying laughing! We can't turn back now.

Memorial Day Holiday

We got to go to the beach with Zach's family before the oil hit. We had such a wonderful time. Hollis was spoiled rotten. We rode the golf cart in the neighborhood, swam at the pool, and played at the beach. Hollis was so funny. He liked the ocean but would not but his feet on the ocean floor and had to be carried out into the water. He has no fear of drowning either. One day he saw his friend at the pool and just walked right up and jumped in.( luckily her mom was right there) One night we got donuts after dinner and man this boy loves donuts better than cakes and cookies. He also got to ride the kiddie rides at the track. He would ride very calmly and not make a sound just have a little smirk on his face.
Thanks for a great trip Mimi and Pawpaw! Aunt Crystal took tons and tons of pictures so check them out.

The Last Few Weeks

Zach and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the end of April. Really I can not believe we have been married that long. It is great to be with your best friend everyday. We decided to take a trip to Jamaica to celebrate our anniversary and since we both turn 30 later this year. We had the best time just the two of us. We went to the pool, beach and ate lots of good food while we there. Thanks to our family for keeping Hollis. I lost all my pictures bc my camera messed up. Too bad bc Zach took a picture of this larger 70 yr old lady in her way too tiny bikini and she was always bent over picking up shells. Little did she know she provided us lots of entertainment.
We were there during the big nashville flood. We really did not realize how bad it was til we got home. Luckily we just had a leak, but we know some friends and many others that lost their homes.
Also my Papa died while we out of town. The last 5 yrs or more his mind has been gone but it still not easy loosing someone you love. I have great memories of him. He loved to take all us riding in the back of his truck through his cattle fields, and playing at his house in the summertime. I have been very blessed to know all four of my grandparents for almost 30 years.
On a lighter note we got to have an ultrasound and see our new little baby. It looked very healthy and is going to be another little Boy! We have no name but are trying to work on it. I don't think Hollis quite understands that he will have a brother but I pray that they will be the best of friends.

They Did It!

Zach and his family ran or walked the half marathon this weekend. It was a gorgeous day before all the rain came. Hollis, Marla and I booked it down there so we could watch them all the go by. Everybody got to finish before the rain. We are so proud of all of them.
Hollis is watching the race and eating his breakfast.

This is Marci and her brother. Marci was kind enough to train with Zach on the long runs which I know really helped him out.

Beach

Ready to hit the beachSitting with Tistin
Playing with his sword
Jumping on the trampoline while out shopping

We went down to the beach a couple weeks ago with my mom and sister. We had a great time. Hollis played on the beach and swam at the pool. He was scared of the ocean water though. Every morning he would want to go wake Kristin up but I would not let him. Mom rode the train with him which he loved. I can not believe I only took 4 pictures the whole time. I guess I was too busy chasing Hollis around.

Birthday Weekend

We started off his birthday weekend with his spring program at school. They wheel his class out in wagons and they stare at us for 30 seconds, gotta love it.

Hollis with all the girls.
Friday we had an egg hunt with some of his friends at a playground. These three are ready to party!

Hunting Eggs Attempt at a group shot Hollis blowing out his candles. Of all the birthday festivities I think Hollis likes being sang too the most and then loves to blow out the candles.
Saturday morning we went to breakfast then to see the real bunnies.

Tistal as Hollis calls her Saturday night we had our family party. Hollis decided to have party horns for this occasion. That is a soccer ball on his cake if you can not tell. He loves ever kind of sport out there. I think he got them all for presents too.

Happy 2nd Birthday! Playing with his new golf clubs Opening Gifts
Cousins
Sunday was Easter, Hollis' actually Birthday. He got all of my siblings and in -laws out in the yard to play soccer with him. What more could a boy ask for?

Mimi and Pawpaw stayed the weekend with us

Family Shot

I can not believe our little boy is 2! He is such a joy to our lives. As I am typing right now he is suppose to be napping but is in his bed laughing his head off and singing. I can not imagine life with out him. God has blessed us with a wonderful child. Speaking of 2 we will be having another little baby this fall. Hollis thinks it is a baby sister but we will not know til May. I think he just wants some girl toys to play with.

Egg Hunt and Visit to Granny Browns

We went to the church egg hunt last weekend. It was Hollis' 1st time to hunt eggs. He loved it. When he woke up from his nap that afternoon he kept saying" eggs, eggs, eggs."

Hollis and Hudson are eating all of the candy out of the eggs. These two guys are only 2 days apart.

Posing with the bunny
We visited Zach's Granny last weekend. Hollis had fun playing with Maddie and everyone else. She gave him a bat and ball for his birthday and that is all he has played with all week.
